This week, the Betsson Group and Paysafe, a top-rated payments platform, announced an expanded partnership agreement. The online gaming operator will now utilize Paysafe payment solutions in the United States via its Betsafe brand. The alternative payment solution options will begin in Colorado and should expand throughout the US over time.
Long-Standing Partnership Between Betsson and Paysafe
Betsson and Paysafe have been working together for many years, first starting their relationship in 2007 via the gaming brand’s European service options. For years, players in Europe could utilize the paysafecard online cash option, or eCash to place sports bets in Denmark, Greece, Italy, Germany, Spain, or Sweden.
Paysafe also provides its NETELLER and Skrill digital wallets as payment options for online gaming brands operated by Betsson in dozens of markets globally. Now that Betsson is operational in the United States, it makes sense for the two companies to expand their partnership into a new nation.
Betsson recently launched its Betsafe mobile sportsbook in Colorado and players have access to Paysafe as a payment solution. Online credit and debit card payments can be used via Paysafe, providing a secure option for depositing. Paysafe uses its secure payment gateway to process payments.
Integrating a New Payment Method
The integration of Paysafe allows Betsafe to offer a nice selection of alternative payment options. Sports bettors can use the Skrill USA digital wallet of the brand to provide payments. The solution allows players to easily add funds to Betsafe in Colorado. Paysafe upgraded its Skrill USA wallet in late 2021, making deposits and payouts much easier to complete.
As part of the deal, sports bettors who prefer cash payments can use eCash options from Paysafe. The Paysafecash or Paysafecard solution can also be used to deposit funds. The solutions are offered at thousands of stores across Colorado as well as throughout the United States.
Betsson Group Managing Director U.S. Marina Bogard commented on the new deal by stating: “At Betsson, the customer is at the core of everything we do. As they have done in other markets, we are confident that Paysafe’s payment solutions will be able to support us with all our needs to achieve our goals.”
Paysafe CEO of North America iGaming, Zak Cutler, commented on the partnership. He said that the brand is happy to support its long-time partner as it expands sports betting services in the United States via the Betsafe brand. Cutler pointed out that Paysafe has a proven track record when it comes to completing payments for brands operated by Betsson. This includes payments for players in several European and global markets.
Betsson Launches Mobile Services in Colorado
In late March, Betsson decided to start offering services in Colorado, teaming up with the Dostal Alley Casino. The casino is located in Central City. Its licensing allows Betsson to offer online sports betting in the state via its Betsafe brand.
Along with offering services in Colorado, Betsson has decided to open an office in Denver. The new property will be the hub point for regional B2B services. Betsson launched its Betsafe brand in the state after meeting regulatory and technical standards in the state.
The launch in Colorado is just the beginning for Betsson. The brand wants to bring Betsafe to other states in the US where online sports betting is legal. After obtaining GLI 33 certification via Gaming Laboratories International, Betsson can now offer its product in other states. The company is hopeful that its B2B sportsbook solutions will operate in many other states soon.
