Tipico Sportsbook Set to Launch in Colorado This Fall

The Colorado sports betting industry continues to put up some impressive numbers, and there also continues to have plenty of growth. Both of those trends will continue this Fall as Tipico Sportsbook will be launching in the state.

Tipico is the sports betting leader in Germany, and it has been targeting the state of Colorado for a number of months. This company has already reached an agreement with Century Casinos to enter the Colorado market, but it made an even bigger move this week.

Tipico has agreed to a multi-year agreement with Gannett in a deal that will last five years and comes at the cost of $90 million. Gannett is most known for being the publishing company of USA Today, and it also publishes six different newspapers in the state of Colorado.

This new partnership continues a recent trend of sports betting companies forming a partnership with news and media companies. The deal with Century Casinos will get Tipico Sportsbook into Colorado, but teaming with Gannett could help it become one of the most popular options.

An official launch date has not yet been announced by Tipico, but it is believed that this will happen at some point in August. This would allow the sportsbook to be established and ready to go in time for the start of the 2021 NFL season.

Tipico Sportsbook is already live in the state of New Jersey, and the company believes that it will be a seamless transition into a new betting market. This is a company that has received a lot of hype and attention in recent months, and bettors in Colorado will have another great option to bet on sports.

What to Expect With USA Today Deal

In announcing this new partnership with USA Today, Tipico added this statement, “This historic agreement with Gannett will immediately bring additional credibility and trust to Tipico Sportsbook’s US operations. These assets will serve as a key component of our North American marketing strategy, driving awareness of the Tipico brand.”

Gannett and USA Today do not have any real ties to the sports betting industry, but it does have publications that can help promote Tipico Sportsbook. Gannett is set to receive a small stipend for customer referrals through this new deal, and that could lead to a massive amount of money.

Tipico will be integrating betting odds and props across all of the USA Today Networks, and this state has a presence in nearly every state throughout the US. There will also be a free-to-play game developed by Tipico, and that will allow bettors in those states without sports betting to get in on the action.

The NFL Wire Team pages and For the Win by being rebranded to feature the Tipico Sportsbook name, and this is where this deal could have a massive impact for Tipico. With the Denver Broncos being the most popular team in the state, the NFL Wire is one of the most popular fan sites out there.
